Swim, bike, run, repeat

The Team workouts have gotten into a nice groove. We started running hills this Saturday on our 5-mile run. It was painful but necessary. We started the season doing easy runs, but now we're on week 9 and it is time to get serious.

Swim practice tomorrow night will be at an olympic-size pool. Fifty meters instead of the 25 yards at the YMCA pool. One length of this new pool is farther than I've been able to swim up to now without getting winded. Maybe swimming in the big pool will give me the push I need. Our training schedule has us outside swimming in Lake Nokomis on May 17th. That's only six weeks away! And at this point I don't even want to think about how cold that water is going to feel compared to the pool.

Our first team bike ride will be next Saturday. It's the only thing I'm not worried about at this point!

Go Team!

Deadline!

I am excited to announce that as of today, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has received $1,558 through my donors! There has been an amazing amount of support for my cause, and I'm so proud to be representing this great organization.

We are not there yet though. It is almost the fundraising halfway point: I need to have 50% of my goal by next Tuesday, April 6th! Right now I have reached 28% of my goal, but I need to raise another $1,072 in the next five days. Eeek! I am planning events later in April, but right now we've got to get past this hump!

Please consider donating to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It is a great cause!
